A lengthy par 4 with a sharp dog-leg to the left. This means a blind drive for low handicappers playing from the back tees. However, the fairway beyond the corner is generously wide, so there is some scope for a little adventure.
A straight blast over the edge of the shrubbery on the left will put you in an ideal position on the left hand side of the fairway. Alternatively, a draw aimed on the right hand bunker should also open up the green. Shorter hitters should also follow the bunker line and will again probably be looking to be on the green in three rather than two shots. This hole often plays longer than it looks, due mainly to the deceptive influence of the fairway bunker 30 metres short of the putting surface.
Many a ball had ended up in the hollow just behind this trap, so make sure you take enough club with your approach.
