Hole 8

It is unusual for a par 5 hole to have a stroke index as high as 15 – indication enough that this is one of the best birdie opportunities on the course.

The fairway is wide, there is not much trouble either side and at only 450 metres from the back tee the green can easily be reached in two by big hitters and even high handicappers and iron players have a good chance of being on in three. In short, a hole where you can reach for the driver and open your shoulders with confidence.

The green – in an attractive tree-enclosed setting – slopes sharply from back to front, so try and play short of the flag to leave an uphill putt.
