A medium length par 5, dog-legging to the right. This is one of those holes where the way you play it depends much upon the way you feel.
If the weather is favourable and things are going well, a calculated risk could pay dividends here. Otherwise, better to play safe and aim to be on the green in three. The best line off the tee is on the left hand fairway bunker, with a slight fade. Only big hitters with the wind behind should think about blasting their drive over the poplars, to cut off the corner.
Once around this corner, it is pretty much plain sailing down to the putting surface, although the narrow entrance means that your approach either has to be very straight or has to carry all the way. A large and relatively flat green, where two putts should not be a problem.
