Sporting activitiesAlthough green fee players are always welcome, the Palingbeek is predominantly a member’s club and its day-to-day activities are organised to reflect this fact. Fully-paid up membership of the club brings with it the right to use the course and its extensive ancillary facilities for 365 days a year. Members are also entitled to take part in the numerous weekend competitions organised by the Sports Committee and also in the mid-week events organised by the Men’s, Ladies’, Senior’s, Youngster’s and Junior’s sections. These sections also organise regular trips (often with overnight stays) to other golf clubs at home and abroad and there are also regular inter-club matches.![]() All members receive regular information on these latter subjects, not only via this web-site but also through the club magazine, “Golf News”, which is published three times a year. Other membership-related matters, together with the rules and regulations of the club, are codified every two years and issued to members in the form of a Vade Mecum. Add to this the extensive social activities for which our club is famous, and you can see that membership of the Palingbeek is definitely not something to be sneezed at! |
